
Contrast – that’s a keyword , that perfectly describes French quartet Celeste from Lyon. The band creates dark, disturbing music, originating from post metal, black metal, hardcore, which engages listeners completely. But behind the stage, the guys are easy-going, eager-to-have-fun people, keen on crazy jokes. There is no darkness involved then.
The performances if Lyon-based quartet, perfectly enforce the music’s atmosphere. Each time this is a spectacle, during which the silhouettes of the artists, performing in total darkness, can be seen only thanks to the red lamps, located on their heads. Celeste’s show at Asymmetry Festival will be definitely quite an event. A few weeks before the show we asked vocalist Johan and drummer Royer about their inspirations, situation with catholic church in France and we tried to find out, where fans can expect follow-up album to great “Morte(s) Nee(s)” from 2010.
