Since we living in the age of the Internet, how do you think this medium is going to affect music? Its creation and reception? Do you believe that old fashioned show (I mean, musicians on stage performing music with their instruments) is going to survive or there will be something new? Perhaps only live streamed concerts? Or maybe hologram artists, like for example Hatsune Miku, who is quite big star in Japan right now? What’s your approach on it?
I’m really into new media but I don’t think they will ever replace the energy of a real band on stage. Live streamed concerts are interesting for certain music genres or concepts. Like if I’d do something with Sigillum S on the web, this could be very interesting. As far as Obake, I don’t see it happening. We love the energy sound has by itself. Hatsune Miku it’s interesting, it’s a slice of future already in the present but a good live concert will never be replaced. CONTINUE READING
